GIFR’s PCL-R & PCL:SV Training Is The Exclusive Web-Based Training Program Approved by Professor Robert D. Hare’s Darkstone Research Group, Ltd.

The Global Institute of Forensic Research is now offering online training for the PCL-R & PCL:SV with live webinar trainings offered on select dates throughout the year. The Hare Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R) is the international “gold standard” for the diagnosis of psychopathy in adults. Measuring interpersonal and affective features as well as impulsive and antisocial behaviors, the PCL-R has been found to be a reliable and valid diagnostic instrument in hundreds of peer-reviewed studies conducted in community, mental health, and correctional settings around the world.

gifr-instrument-webinar-pclrComprised of an On Demand presentation by the instrument’s renowned author, Professor Robert D. Hare, as well as a 2-day live and interactive webinar by leading figure in the field of psychopathy, Dr. J. Reid Meloy, this innovative program offers instruction in the use of both the PCL-R and the Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version (PCL:SV).

During these trainings, the development of the PCL-R and PCL:SV is discussed, item-by-item instructions are given on how to reliably score the measures and interpret their findings, a review of the peer-reviewed research on the PCL-R and PCL:SV is provided, and guidance is put forth on how to apply reporting conventions. Case studies are also employed to enable participants to practice using the instruments and to learn to avoid common administration errors.

Dr. Jay P. Singh, Founder and CEO of GIFR says, “These live webinars represent a rare opportunity to obtain Darkstone-approved training on these seminal and widely-used assessment instruments.” Singh adds, “This CE-eligible 2-day program is fully interactive and provides a unique and insightful learning experience for all attendees.”
