The Static-99R is the most commonly used and researched risk assessment tool for adult male sex offenders. The 2003 coding manual for the scale has been updated in 2016, with sufficient changes that the Static-99R Development Team recommends that anyone using the instrument obtain a booster training. The Static-99R Booster Training has been developed by Static-99R Development Team member, Dr. L. Maaike Helmus, and is available 24/7 On Demand. The Booster Training is eligible for 3 CE Hours from over 150 professional accrediting bodies.

Trainer Biography
Leslie Maaike Helmus, PhD is co-developer of the Static-99R, the most commonly used sex offender recidivism risk assessment tool in use today. Having received her Doctorate in Psychology from Carleton University in Canada, Dr. Helmus has also been involved in the development of the STABLE-2007, ACUTE-2007, and Static-2002R. She has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards from organizations including ATSA and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
