Training Description
This 1.5-hour webinar will give participants an overview of the newest version of the well-established Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory 4th edition (MCMI-IV). Updated in 2015, the tool not only has new norms but it has also been updated to align better with DSM-5 whilst being true to Millon's well-researched theories of personality. A background to the theory underpinning the tool will be provided and an overview of the tool will be given; this includes the personality scales including the new turbulent personality scale and the clinical syndromes. Discussion will be had about the Grossman facet scales and their clinical utility, as well as interactions between personality scales. The online scoring system will be described, the utility of the tool in practice and ethical issues will also be discussed.
*IMPORTANT* This 1.5-hour free training is a brief introduction to the development of the MCMI-IV and its intended uses. Professionals who wish to use the MCMI-IV in practice should attend Dr. Ruth Tully's comprehensive MCMI-IV On Demand training (
