Sexual recidivism risk assessments are increasingly required in behavioral health, correctional, and court settings. Recent surveys suggest that the most widely-researched and commonly-used risk assessment tool for those who have sexually offended is the Static-99R (formerly Static-99). Presented by a certified Static-99R trainer, this live and interactive workshop offered monthly will train you in the use of the Static-99R while earning 8 hours of valuable Continuing Education (CE) Credit.
The development of the Static-99R will be discussed, item-by-item instructions will be given on how to reliably score the measure and interpret its findings and guidance will be provided on how to apply Static-99R reporting conventions. Case studies will be employed to allow you to practice using the Static-99R’s 2016 coding manual and to learn to avoid common administration errors.
CE credits and training materials are included with your registration.
At the end of this training you will be able to…
- Identify 3 difficult scoring issues on the Static 99R
- Apply scoring criteria to complex vignettes
- Identify and compute risk reductions based on the new time sex offense free calculator
- Use the scoring manual to score cases
- Describe how to apply the concept of pseudo recidivism in scoring a case
- Apply age calculations for item 1 accurately
- Identify factors to discuss outside the Static-99R
- Identify the timelines required for relationship duration for item #2
More cost-effective and time-efficient than attending an in-person workshop but covering the same content, this innovative live training is the first-of-its-kind.
