Training Description
The goal of this training is to guide participants on the application of the RNR model and to offer practical tools to effectively implement this empirically-supported model. The RNR principles are evidence-based and endorsed by many correctional organizations across North America and other parts of the world. The focus will be on the practical needs of the clinicians, program developers, clinical administrators and other professionals who would be implementing these principles at a grassroots level. After summarizing the history of RNR and the science behind it, I will discuss ways to translate RNR principles into practice with sexual offenders; describe what that looks like; and examine the potential challenges of implementation. Although the primary stakeholders targeted by this webinar are clinicians, program developers, and clinical administrators, much of the application is also relevant to probation, parole, policy makers, and other criminal justice system stakeholders.
