Description:
Preliminary screening for general recidivism risk saves valuable time and resources in correctional, legal, and behavioural health settings. The Level of Service Inventory-Revised: Screening Version (LSI-R:SV™) aids in this pursuit by offering an efficient alternative to administering full risk/needs assessments for all individuals. This online training program will provide item-by-item instructions on how to reliably score the LSI-R:SV and interpret its findings, a review of peer-reviewed research on the LSI-R:SV will be provided, and guidance will be put forth on how to apply LSI-R:SV reporting conventions in a Queensland context. A case study will be employed to allow learners to practice using the tool’s User Manual and to learn to avoid common administration errors. Upon completion of the training program, learners will be certified to use the LSI-R:SV.
