Training Description
The Behavior Assessment System for Children, Third Edition (BASC-3) is one of the most commonly-used and widely-researched instruments for understanding the behaviors and emotions of children and adolescents. The BASC-3 utilizes a set of rating scales and forms including the Teacher Rating Scales (TRS), Parent Rating Scales (PRS), Self-Report of Personality (SRP), Student Observation System (SOS), and Structured Developmental History (SDH) which together provide a comprehensive functional analysis. Presented by co-author of the BASC-3, Dr. Randy Kamphaus, this On Demand workshop will train you in the administration and interpretation of the BASC-3 while earning 4 hours of valuable Continuing Education Credit. You will learn skills needed to design a school-wide universal screening program to detect children with behavioral and emotional risk, examine how to implement a social-emotional leaning curriculum in a school, prioritize areas of need and identify evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents with mental health disorders, and discuss how to implement measures of change in behavioral and emotional adjustment.
Officially authorized by the BASC-3’s publisher and presented by the co-author, this workshop is eligible for 4 hours of valuable Continuing Education Credit. Attendees should have access to the BASC-3 Manual before starting this training. The BASC-3 Manual is purchasable through the instrument’s publisher, Pearson. For details, visit:
