Training Description
Recidivism risk assessments are increasingly required for persons with special needs who have perpetrated sexually abuse. The Assessment of Risk and Manageability of Individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Limitations who Offend - Sexually (ARMIDILO-S) is an innovative structured professional judgment risk assessment tool designed to measure stable and acute risk factors for this population. Peer-reviewed research has established the ARMIDILO-S to be an accurate predictor of sexual recidivism as well as a useful instrument for measuring treatment change. Presented by the lead developer of the ARMIDILO-S, this On Demand certified workshop will train you in the use of the ARMIDILO-S while earning 6.5 hours of valuable Continuing Education Credit.
The development of the ARMIDILO-S will be discussed, item-by-item instructions will be given on how to reliably score the measure and interpret its findings, a review of the peer-reviewed research on the ARMIDILO-S will be provided, and guidance will be put forth on how to apply ARMIDILO-S reporting conventions. Case studies will be employed to allow you to practice using the tool’s manual and to learn to avoid common administration errors.
