Training Description
The assessment and treatment of people who sexually abuse is perilous at every turn. The concepts involved can be difficult to think and talk about, much less discuss in writing. Further, the venues in which professionals find themselves require excellent communication skills in order to prevent misunderstanding, grievances, and very long days of cross-examination.
This 1.5-hour presentation addresses specific issues of concern to professionals and is presented by a colleague who has been “tested in the trenches” rather than a writing teacher. As a result, the presentation is lively and engaging rather than a return to the basics. Discussion ranges from considerations around level of detail involved in forensic reports to addressing sensitive areas in a way that keeps reports more probative than prejudicial.
*IMPORTANT* This 1.5-hour free training is a brief introduction to the topic of Report Writing. Professionals who wish to obtain a more comprehensive training on Report Writing should consider Mr. David Prescott's On Demand training (https://gifrinc.com/report-writing-sexual-offender/)
