Training Description
For children to understand what is happening to their bodies and to minimize the potential of misunderstanding sexually problematic behavior, sexual education is key. Progressing sexual education will properly equip children with the tools they need to understand their sexuality and to avoid being exposed to harmful sexual behavior through outside influences. This training will review core concepts of sexuality and assist viewers in the development of a learning plan based on current sexual education best practices.
Trainer Biography
Janet Rosenzweig, PhD, MPA is a research associate for Prevent Child Abuse America and a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Penn State, her PhD in social work from Rutgers, and her MPA from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. Dedicated to making life safer for children, easier for parents, and more rewarding for professionals who have dedicated their careers to serving children and families, Dr. Rosenzweig has punctuated her 20 years of government service and nine years running New Jersey’s largest private organization fighting child abuse with speaking engagements across the United States.
